Boys & Girls Club 2010 Champion for Youth Dinner

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Everyday in the Eastern Panhandle there are individuals making a difference in the life of a child. On Thursday, April 22 the Boys & Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle will honor one of these individuals who has truly touched the community and the lives of many local children.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle’s 2010 Champion for Youth Honoree is Dave Rogers. He is a life long Berkeley County resident, a two time state basketball winning coach at Martinsburg High School, a Shepherd University Hall of Famer, and an educator of over 37 years.
“Dave has honored our community with his service of almost four decades and this year we will honor him as our 2010 Champion for Youth,” stated Kevin Knowles, event chair and Boys & Girls Club board member.
The Champion for Youth Dinner will be held on April 22 at the Holiday Inn in Martinsburg. Guest speaker for the evening is former Washington Redskin All Pro Cornerback Pat Fischer. The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 pm with dinner at 7 pm followed by the program.
Sponsorships are available for $500, $750, $1000 and $2500. Individual tickets may also be purchased for $50 per person at Nolz’s Convenience & Subs, 110 N. Centre Street in Martinsburg, or at any Boys & Girls Club location in the Eastern Panhandle.
