MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The President’s Challenge – the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award (PALA) - has motivated millions—millions!—of people to get fit, to feel better about themselves, and to lead active lifestyles.
The new PALA+ Challenge is for anyone who wants to be on the road to a healthier life through positive changes to physical activity and eating behaviors. West Virginia University Hospitals-East’s OWLS Program and Berkeley Senior Services are teaming up to offer the PALA Challenge to seniors in the community.
A jointly hosted PALA kick-off event will be held on January 18, 2012 at 11:00am at the Berkeley Senior Center in Martinsburg. The program is free and open to all seniors, and pre-registration is suggested. Attend the kick-off event to learn more about the challenge, sign up and get started on the road to good health.
