MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – The Wellness Center atWest Virginia University Hospitals-East’s City Hospital will sponsor a community open house on Saturday, October 8 from 9am – 2pm.
The event, which is designed to showcase the Eastern Panhandle’s only hospital-based fitness center, will include demonstrations of various fitness classes as well as healthy cooking tips, seated massages and running presentations.
“Our Wellness Center is unique in that it features the technogym equipment which allows us to develop custom, computerized workouts for all of our members,” explained Brent Garrett, manager of The Wellness Center. In addition, the center offers fitness assessments, fitness classes, goal setting, personal training, and lifestyle and weight management.
Now through the end of October, The Wellness Center has a special membership offer. Anyone signing up for a 12-month membership will have the enrollment fee waived and receive $50 in wellness dollars. These wellness dollars may be used toward personal training sessions and massages.
