For the second year in a row West Virginia University Hospitals East and Eastern Education Division are the presenting sponsors of Freedom’s Run. Freedom’s Run is a walking and running event with distances ranging from a one mile kids fun run, a 5k, a 10k, a half marathon and a full 26.2 mile marathon. The event will be held October 1.
Have you always wanted to run? Are you new to running? An avid runner who wants to improve performance? The Wellness Center @ City Hospital, Inc. and Dr. Mark Cucuzzella are teaming up again to offer Running Clinics to help you run healthier.
Dr. Cucuzzella, nationally ranked distance runner, local physician and founder and organizer of Freedom’s Run and the new Two Rivers Heritage Half Marathon, will be conducting Running Clinics to promote proper form, injury prevention and improve performance to prepare you for Freedom’s Run on October 1 or the 32nd Annual Apple Trample sponsored by The Wellness Center on October 15.
The clinics are geared to runners of all levels. The clinics will be this Thursday, September 1 from 5-6pm at City Hospital Wellness Center Cardiac Rehab Area and Wednesday, September 7 from 5-6pm at Jefferson Memorial Hospital (Meet at Gazebo outside ER, in case of rain meet in the first floor conference room).
