MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - West Virginia University Hospitals-East and the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center Eastern Division will sponsor a community mini-medical school program on signs and symptoms of a pending stroke and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.
The seminar, titled Stroke: Time is Brain...Brain is Life, will be held on Tuesday, November 16 in the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center on the City Hospital campus. The featured speaker is Karoly Varga, MD, a board certified neurologist with Panhandle Neurology Center in Martinsburg and clinical assistant professor at West Virginia University.
Sign-in for the community mini-medical school program begins at 6:30 pm, with the program to follow from 7 – 8 pm. Light refreshments will be offered at the conclusion of the seminar.
