HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. – Pediatrician, Eleanor A. Smith, MDhas joined Harpers Ferry Family Medicine and the medical staff of WVUH-East’s Jefferson Memorial Hospital. In addition to her patient care services, Dr. Smith will help to train resident physicians and medical students as an Assistant Professor for the WVU School of Medicine Eastern Division.
Smith is a graduate of the WVU School of Medicine and attended her third year and fourth year of medical school at the WVU Robert C Byrd Health Sciences Center in Martinsburg. She recently completed a pediatrics residency at WVU School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Smith to the faculty of the WVU School of Medicine. She represents a growing number of medical students who choose to spend their clinical third and fourth years in the Eastern Panhandle who are now completing specialty training and find West Virginia an attractive and exciting location for their practice,” said Dr. Konrad C.
