Visitor Information and Guidelines

At WVUH-East, we realize that the support shown by family and friends plays an important role in the emotional well-being of our patients. Equally important is our responsibility to ensure that each patient receives adequate rest and time for the professional care required.

In order for us to achieve the maximum comfort for our Hospital patients, we ask that you adhere to the following visitor guidelines:

• We ask that visitors be limited to two per patient. Thank you for keeping the well-being of our other patients in mind when you visit.
• Patient's children, grandchildren and brothers and sisters (regardless of age) may visit for short periods of time. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult willing to assume the responsibility for maintaining the calm and quiet atmosphere necessary in our patient areas.
• Children other than immediate family members must be 12 years of age or older to visit in patient areas. Younger children may wait in the lobby area with adult supervision. Children between the ages of 12 and 16 years must be accompanied by an adult when visiting patient areas.
