Diabetes Self-Management Classes — FREE
This 4-week program educates the person with diabetes about diet and meal planning, medications, glucose monitoring, exercise, hygiene including foot and skin care, and more.A class series begins on October 4, 2010 from 6 - 8 p.m. in Jefferson Memorial Hospital's 1st Floor Conference Room. Pre-registration is required by calling 304-728-1693.

Healthy Start Mall Walker Program — FREE
Sponsored by City Hospital and the Martinsburg Mall. Sign-up at the Mall's Customer Service Desk and record your miles to receive recognition for the healthy strides you are making.

Lifeskills — A Diabetic Patient Education Program
A four week comprehensive program taught by a Certified Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietitian, targeted to helping individuals manage diabetes. Classes are held in the McCormack Center Suite 3800 with a series to begin August 3, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and another to start September 7, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. A physician referral is required. A program fee is applicable and is covered by some insurance companies. For more details, call 304-596-6839.

Smoking Cessation Classes — FREE
