About WVUH-East
Introduced January 1, 2005, West Virginia Hospitals-East brings together City Hospital, Jefferson Memorial and West Virginia University Hospitals to form a new not-for-profit healthcare delivery system for the Eastern Panhandle.
As a unified healthcare delivery system, the mission of WVUH-East is to improve the health status of Eastern Panhandle residents by providing high-quality health and wellness services, expanding access to care and participating in the education of healthcare professions.
