Hospital’s Volunteer Program
At
City Hospital, we are fortunate to benefit from a dedicated
group of men and women who volunteer their time in support
of our Hospital’s mission to provide high quality cost-effective
healthcare and wellness services to our community.
To participate
in our Volunteer program individuals must…

 |
Be
at least 18 years of age and commit to a minimum of four (4)
hours of volunteer service per week, |
|
Have
satisfactory response from personal references/background check
as required, |
|
Attend
a mandatory education class (4½ hours), as well as complete
a health evaluation performed by the Hospital’s Employee
Health Nurse, |
|
Have
the physical ability, flexibility and endurance to be able to
perform all duties of the assigned volunteer position, as well
as the capability to stand and walk for a typical 4-hour volunteer
shift. |

To
receive a City Hospital Volunteer application, call the Marketing/Communications
Department at (304) 264-1223. Once the completed application has
been submitted, and satisfactory reference checks received, individuals
will be contacted by phone to set-up an interview for potential
volunteer placement as positions become available. |
