Sibling Class City Hospital is proud to offer a variety of classes for our community. An overview of these classes are listed below. Fall Classes Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Course   Designed for licensed healthcare providers who provide advanced level care to patients experiencing acute cardiovascular events according to American Heart Association Guidelines. A current AHA healthcare provider card is required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Renewal Course   Offered to healthcare professionals who have current ACLS provider and healthcare provider status following AHA guidelines. Birthing Class   Our six-week prenatal class provides information on breathing and relaxation techniques, pain management, medical procedures, cesarean delivery, and infant care. Breastfeeding Class - Free   Taught by a certified lactation consultant, mothers will learn the basics and benefits of breastfeeding their infant. Community Healthcare Provider CPR Course   Follows American Heart Association guidelines for CPR for those with direct patient care responsibilities and includes adult and pediatric CPR, choking mechanisms, AED, barrier devices, and bag-valve-mask ventilation. Community Heartsaver CPR Course   Follows current American Heart Association Guidelines in adult and pediatric CPR and choking mechanisms. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course   Appropriate for those licensed health providers who provide advanced pediatric life support care processes. A current AHA healthcare provider card is required. A fee applies. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Renewal Course   Designed for licensed healthcare providers who have current PALS and healthcare provider status. Sibling Class   Targeted to ages 3 to 10, this class helps prepare children for their new role as "big" brother or sister. Social Work Series   Provides social workers and counselors with new skills and knowledge related to their profession. CEUs awarded.
